Finding Halloween events in Amarillo is easy. There are a variety of activities going on so you are bound to find something for both adults and children. The earlier you look for Halloween events the better, as things will start to pop up the closer Halloween approaches and you don’t want to miss a great event.

Halloween Events in Amarillo for Adults

Halloween is not just for kids, and this is obvious in Amarillo. You can go for a scare, dance the night away, as well as paint during a Halloween party.

7th Ave Dementia is a 3D haunted house in Amarillo located at 1307 West 7th Avenue. They are open Friday and Saturday nights in October from 7 pm to midnight. Tickets cost $15. Have kids who are too young for the major scares? This haunted house has a Happy Hour from 5 pm to 6:45 on Saturdays for kids and those who are less adventurous. Kids can bring a bag for treats.

Midnight Rodeo in Amarillo is hosting Halloweek from October 25th to 31st. On Thursday, October 31st there will be a Halloween costume contest with $500 in cash prizes. Midnight Rodeo is located at 4400 South Georgia in Amarillo. Its hours are 8 pm to 2 am.

Crush Wine Bar and Deli is offering Autum Paisley, a Halloween party on October 30th from 6 pm to 9 pm. It is located at 701 South Polk Street in Amarillo. Cost is $35 and there will be a costume contest and fun giveaways during the party. Come 15 minutes early so you have time to browse the menu.

Halloween Events in Amarillo for Kids

In addition to 7th Ave Dementia’s Happy Hour for Kids, there are plenty of other activities to choose from. Many parents want to find safe ways their children can celebrate Halloween, so churches and businesses provide them with multiple options. Consider going to at least one of these activities so your child can wear their Halloween costume more than once.

The Don Harrington Discovery Center is hosting a Monster Bash on October 25th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. It’s located at 1200 Streit Drive in Amarillo. Cost is $5 per child for those 1 year old and up. Chaperones are free. This will be a safe place to trick or treat while experimenting with Halloween-themed science. There will be a haunted basement and costumes are welcome.

Amarillo’s Boo at the Zoo is one of the other Halloween events in Amarillo. It is taking place on three dates:

  • Friday, October 25th from 5:30 to 9 pm
  • Saturday, October 26th from 5:30 to 9 pm
  • Sunday, October 27th from noon to 5 pm

This Halloween event will not be scary so young children are sure to enjoy everything the zoo normally has to offer with a kid-friendly Halloween-theme.
