When Halloween on the Riverwalk Happens

Bud Light Coffins on Parade

The Bud Light Coffins on Parade will have coffins traveling on barges on the San Antonio River for two laps, something that you can only see on this night. This event has to happen at night for the eerie ghosts and goblins to come out and enjoy the celebration.

When: Saturday, October 26th between 6 pm and 8 pm.

Where: The parade will begin at the International Building and travel through Restaurant Row, the horseshoe bend, the River Walk extension, Rivercenter Mall, and Arneson River Theater.

More About It: Since it’s a free event, you can save your money to buy food and drinks in one of the many restaurants along the Riverwalk. Dress in your Halloween costume to really get into the spirit. Halloween on the Riverwalk in San Antonio is an eerie parade, and you will find people dressed up in costume lining the Riverwalk to look at the spectacle of coffins floating down the river.

The Esquire Tavern

The Esquire Tavern is the oldest bar on the Riverwalk and has the longest wooden bar top in Texas. Get a glass of cold beer, swanky cocktails, and fantastic food.

Hours: Thursday through Saturday 11:30 am to 2 am. Sunday through Wednesday 11:30 am to 12 am.

Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub & Eatery

Mix Halloween with the authentic feel of Ireland at Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub & Eatery. Enjoy the scenic Riverwalk with outdoor patio seating or go inside for a more cozy interior. Traditional Irish dishes with a late night menu until 1 am.

Hours: Monday to Sunday 10 am to 2 am.

Coyote Ugly San Antonio

Take part in the Heroes Vs. Villains night at Coyote Ugly San Antonio. There will be a $500 cash prize for the Most Creative Costume. Plus, there is no cover before 9 pm!

Menger Hotel

Halloween on the Riverwalk in San Antonio is not the only thing you can do for Halloween in this great city. Have you thought about going on a ghost tour? Halloween is the perfect time with a chance to be in the most haunted hotel in Texas.

There are three days you can choose to go on this dinner and tour at the Menger Hotel:

Friday, October 25th at 6:30 and 7:30

Saturday, October 26th  at 6:30 and 7:30

Thursday, October 31st at 7:00

There will be a three course dinner inside the hotel’s Colonial Room Restaurant where you dine by spooky candlelight. You will then be guided through a tour throughout the haunted hotel. Once that tour is over, you can enjoy a walking tour of the most haunted sites around San Antonio. Costumes are encouraged!

Toxic City Warehouse Rave

Another San Antonio Halloween event is the Toxic City Warehouse Rave on Saturday, October 26th at 10 pm. Where your sexiest undead costumes or your best glow costume to join in on the event’s costume contest. Enjoy the keg and mix drink bar, free glow sticks and painting, and enough room for more than 1,500 people. Buy your tickets online to save money, as tickets at the door start at $25.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas Fright Fest

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is hosting Fright Fest on Saturdays and Sundays now until October 27th. There are 19 attractions that will make you scream for more. Have fun with the thrills during the day and fright at night.

Tickets: You can visit some attractions with a regular admission ticket, but buying a Fright Pass will get you into everything. You can buy tickets online with prices starting at $53.99.
