Ready for a Halloween in Lubbock? Haunted houses will help get you in the spirit by giving you a great scare and there are some spooky haunted houses right in Lubbock. As Halloween nears, you can get a group of friends together to see who in the group is truly brave. Most haunted houses advise that children under 12 not attend since they are usually aimed at scaring teens and adults.

Where to Find Haunted Houses in Lubbock

Halls of Horror
Halls of Horror is a haunted house in Lubbock that opens in the end of September and is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday after that. Guests can make a special trip on Wednesday, October 30th to get their last scare until next year. Halls of Horror is located at the Traders Market on 84th street and opens at dark. The earlier you buy tickets, the better the price will be. It’s $20 for teens and older, $10 for 12 and under. They have a coupon for “Buy One Get One” which isn’t common for haunted houses in this neck of the woods. Take advantage of it while it lasts!

What are the two scariest things you can think of? Clowns and psychos, right? Halls of Horror has got your haunted hunger covered with plenty of psychos in this insane asylum and killer clowns roaming the halls “haunting” you down. There are four haunted houses in the Halls of Horror:

  • Dead Man Hanging
  • Trenches of Hell
  • Halls of Horror
  • Psych Ward

The Blackness Haunted House
The Blackness Haunted House is the only professional haunted house in Plainview, about 45 minutes north of Lubbock on I27. Mostly just a straight shot. Tickets are some of the cheapest I’ve seen at $7 per person. Lines won’t be as long as the two in Lubbock. Open all Friday and Saturday nights in October from 7:30P to 11P.
