What
The annual Halloween Street Party on Cedar Springs strip attracts over 150 thousand people and each year the crowd is getting even larger. It’s the biggest, bestest outdoor Halloween party in Texas! A great way to experience Halloween in Dallas, Texas with your community.
When
The Dallas Halloween Block Party is generally the Saturday before Halloween, this year-2013, Saturday October 26th (check out the 2015 info here). It will start around 7 in the evening and close when the bars do at 2 am. Admission is free but bring money for food and drinks.
Where
Shoot to arrive in the 3900 block on Cedar Springs, Dallas, TX 75219. Gates have been put up in the past and, if it gets large enough, people could be turned away. With more than 150,000 people attending, it is best to get there EARLY to guarantee you will be admitted. If you’re driving, get there extra early for a parking spot or grab a cab. The strip will be closed to traffic from 6 pm to 2 am.
Who
All ages are able to attend the Halloween Street Party, but alcoholic beverages will only be sold to those who are 21 and older. Since this tends to attract adults, it is typically not advised for families with young children.
Clubs along the street are 21 and older, but that does not mean those who are 18 and up can’t have a fun time. With the amount of people that show up, there is sure to be something to do, especially with the other events that take place throughout the night.
Events
While drinking may be a large part of this party, other events will occur throughout the night. There is a live DJ, music, food, beer booths, along with other refreshments at several different service booths.
Everyone will be dressed from head to toe in crazy awesome costumes! The costume contest is typically held on the night of Halloween. If you haven’t gotten a costume figured out yet, check out SpiritHalloween.com! to get freaky discounts up until October 25th. We’ll see ya there!
Where You Can Go
If you’re one who needs a course of action, you will find plenty of bars open during the block party that you can visit. You may have a favorite you see listed, but it’s a great time to make some change and try a different venue on the night of the block party.
