Halloween Punch Recipe

Halloween Punch Recipes for Adults

If you are hosting a Halloween party, odds are you are going to be serving beverages. An adult Halloween punch recipe may just be the thing you want served up next to your other spooky dishes. Luckily, Halloween punch is easy to make no matter how intricate you want it to be.

Icy Hand Halloween Punch

Give your guests a hand when they’re looking for something to drink with this Halloween punch recipe.

Halloween Punch Ingredients:

  • 1 750 ml bottle of vodka or white rum
  • 2 two-liter bottles of lemon lime soda
  • Red food coloring
  • Marshmallows (optional)

Icy Hand Ingredients:

  • 2 latex gloves
  • Water

  1. At least 24 hours before the party, chill the vodka or white rum and soda in the refrigerator.
  2. After chilling the liquids, put on the latex gloves and wash them really well with dish soap and water. Rinse well and turn gloves inside out so the washed side is inside.
  3. Fill the gloves with water, tie the end, and put in the freezer.
  4. Right before the party, combine the alcohol and soda in a large punch bowl.
  5. Add a few drops of red food coloring until it looks blood red.
  6. Add one of your icy hands in the center of the bowl
  7. Put some marshmallows in the punch.
  8. Squirt red food coloring over marshmallows and icy hand
  9. Serve!

You can eliminate the icy hand altogether and make your own marshmallow shapes by whipping  1 pint of whipped cream or half and half, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

Once the sugar is dissolved, pour the mixture into silicone ice cube trays. You can find ghosts and other Halloween shapes in stores this time of year. Cover them with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours until they are firm. Then, put them in your Halloween punch bowl to keep it chilled!

Black Death Punch

While this Halloween punch recipe doesn’t have as much as an abstract visual, such as an icy hand, it will still get your guests interested in a taste.

  • 1 two-liter bottle of ginger ale or a lemon lime soda
  • 1 packet of black cherry Kool-Aid
  • 1 12 oz. package of frozen berries, such as strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries, thawed.
  • 1/2 of a 750 ml bottle of Dekuyper’s Pomegranate liqueur. You can substitute this with raspberry liqueur or blackberry schnapps.
  • 5 cups of clear rum or vodka
  • 1 packet of Pop Rocks Candy, optional

  1. Chill all of the ingredients, except the Pop Rocks, overnight.
  2. Mash the berries with a potato masher or process them in a blender for 30 seconds to create the “scabs”.
  3. Combine ginger ale, cherry Kool-Aid, berries, and alcohol in a large punch bowl.
  4. Pour in the Pop Rocks if you want them to make the punch crackle, pop, and snap for several minutes.
