Dallas Halloween events for kids is a great way to enjoy the city and do things that aren’t too spooky for young children. Most of these events cater to those who are under 12 years old, but even adults will find themselves having a fun time. If you are interested in attending a Halloween event in Dallas, it is best to look at their website to learn what dates and time they are open and when particular activities will be held.
Halloween Nights
The Dallas Zoo has Halloween Nights typically on the last weekend before Halloween. Children will enjoy visiting the different candy stations throughout the zoo and parents will like not having to worry where the candy is coming from.
Halloween Nights also has multiple shows featuring different zoo animals and kids can be part of the Monster Mash throughout the night. Look online to see what times are available for you to see the puppet show, reptile encounter, and other nightly adventures your little ones will enjoy.
Autumn at the Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum has Autumn at the Arboretum for families to attend leading up to Halloween and trick or treating the weekend before Halloween. You will love the surroundings as kids walk through displays of pumpkins and fall foliage and enjoy mazes, scavenger hunts, pumpkin searches, music, and more. Make sure to dress in your best Halloween costume for the costume contests!
After Dark in the Park
If your kids aren’t afraid of the dark, consider going to Arlington’s River Legacy Living Science Center’s After Dark in the Park. This year it will occur on October 11th, 12th, and 13th. Annual events include karaoke, animal encounters, hayride shuttles, a variety of games for kids between two and ten years of age, and a walk on the wild side.
Your family can carve a pumpkin in advance, take a photo and submit it via email, and attend After Dark in the Park to vote for your favorite.
