Halloween Cocktail Drinks

Popular Halloween Cocktails

Halloween is all about having a lot of fun with a few spooks in between. One way to make Halloween even better is by offering Halloween cocktails. Not only will they taste great, but your guests are sure to do a double take when they see just exactly what the drink looks like.

Halloween Jello Shots

Making a Brain Hemorrhage is really easy but looks fantastic for Halloween. To make, add one ounce of Peach or Strawberry Schnapps into a shot glass. Then, slowly pour one teaspoon of Bailey’s Irish Cream or one teaspoon of Amarula Cream Liqueur. After the cream has clumped together, add two drops of grenadine over the “brain.”

Your traditional jello shot will do just fine if you don’t want to get too fancy. Simply make your jello shots as you normally would, but when they are half way set, add a gummy worm. You’ll know you’ve added it too early if the gummy worm falls straight to the bottom.

Vampire-Inspired Cocktails

You can’t have a Halloween party without drinks that just scream vampirism. Create a Blood Drip Martini glass with:
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
½ cup Karo Syrup
Red food coloring

Combine the sugar, water, and syrup in a saucepan and cook it, without stirring, until it starts to crack, which will be when it reaches 300 degrees. A candy thermometer is best to have for this. Once it reaches the right temperature, add the red food coloring and turn off the heat.

Dunk the top of the cocktail glass into the mixture while it is still hot so you create a red rim. You can reduce the heat instead of turning it completely off if you have a few glasses you want to do. After you dunk the glass, flip it rightside up and let it cool.

You can choose whatever drink you want into the martini glass, but the Bloody Apple Cranberry Cocktail is sure to look the best with its red coloring. To make, get a pitcher and combine 12 ounces of thawed 100 percent frozen cranberry juice, a chilled 25.4 ounce bottle of Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple Cider, one cup of apple flavored vodka, ½ cup cranberry schnapps, four cups of very cold water. Mix it together and pour into your glasses.

Creepy Halloween Cocktails

You are going to have a lot of different Halloween cocktails that come with a certain “ick” factor, which makes them all the more suited for the time of year. Of course, they don’t always have to be alcoholic. Witches Brew will get just as much attention from adults as it will with kids. Simply mix the ingredients together and serve.

8 oz. blood red POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice
8 oz. orange soda
Large gummy spiders
Green M&Ms for eyeballs
Gummy frogs
Red heart shaped Runts
Gummy Worms
Black licorice laces for witch’s hair
A quarter size of dry ice
